The Salish Sea
It’s been a truly magical Autumn. The connection we have made with our surroundings will never be forgotten by any of us. From the owls talking to us in the woods, to watching the Orcas escort a Ferry filled with tribal artifacts back to their home on Bainbridge Island. It has all been nothing short of breathtaking. We feel extraordinarily blessed to be included in all of this wonder. We have volunteered to pull English Ivy from the trails, to be Salmon Watchers during the salmon return and also to be Seal Sitters for baby seals left on shore by their mother’s so they can hunt. Hopefully we will be called upon to help.
We are making a list of animal/bird sightings on the right side of the Taproot Journal. If anyone has binoculars we can borrow, we would love to have them.
